Reminder notifications help you remember the follow-ups you set for your leads and contacts.
How reminder notifications work #
When you create a reminder in Plover CRM, it is saved to your workspace and linked to your user account.
If you use the mobile app:
- the app checks for your upcoming reminders
- your phone saves those reminders locally
- when the reminder time arrives, your phone shows the notification
This means the reminder is meant for you, not for everyone on the workspace.
Who receives the reminder #
Reminder notifications are user-based.
- If you create or own the reminder, it appears for you.
- Other teammates do not receive your reminder unless it belongs to them on their own account.
Do reminder notifications work if the app is closed? #
Usually, yes.
Once your phone has already synced the reminder, it can still show the alert even if the app is closed.
What if I create the reminder on the website? #
That works too, but there is one important detail:
- your phone needs to open the app and sync first
- after the reminder is synced to the phone, the alert can be shown at the scheduled time
So if you create a reminder on the web app or on another device, it is a good idea to open the mobile app once on the phone where you want to receive it.
What if I use more than one phone? #
If you are signed in on more than one phone, each phone can receive your reminders after it has synced them.
Why a reminder might not appear #
If a reminder notification does not show, the most common reasons are:
- notifications are turned off for the app on that phone
- reminder notifications are turned off for that workspace in the app
- the phone has not synced the reminder yet
- battery-saving or focus settings on the phone are limiting notifications
Best way to make sure reminders show up #
For the best experience:
- allow notifications for the Plover CRM app
- keep reminder notifications enabled in the app settings
- open the app after creating reminders on the web or another device
- make sure your phone is not blocking the app with aggressive battery-saving settings
Quick summary #
- reminders are personal, not workspace-wide
- the mobile app syncs your reminders to your phone
- your phone shows the reminder at the scheduled time
- reminders created on the web should be synced to the phone first
