Note Types #

PloverCRM provides five note types to categorize interactions. Each has a distinct color badge for quick identification.


Note Types #

1. Call (Blue Badge)

Use for: Phone calls, voicemails, conference calls

Example:

Title: Discovery Call - 15 minutes
Description: Discussed budget and timeline. Needs manager approval.
Next step: Follow up Friday.

2. Email (Purple Badge)

Use for: Emails sent/received, campaign responses, document sharing

Example:

Title: Proposal Sent
Description: Sent Enterprise plan proposal with pricing and case studies.
Awaiting response by end of week.

3. Meeting (Green Badge)

Use for: In-person meetings, video conferences, product demos

Example:

Title: Product Demo - 30 minutes
Description: Demonstrated key features. Action: Send technical docs.

4. Task (Orange Badge)

Use for: Action items, follow-up reminders, pending tasks

Example:

Title: Send Contract
Description: Prepare final contract. Due: Friday, Feb 10. Priority: High

5. Note (Gray Badge)

Use for: General observations, contact preferences, background info

Example:

Title: Contact Preferences
Description: Prefers email. Available Tuesdays/Thursdays 2–4pm.

Filtering by Type #

  1. Navigate to the contact detail page
  2. Click the Notes tab
  3. Use the Type filter dropdown
  4. Select one or more types

Best Practices #

  • Use descriptive titles: “Discovery Call – Discussed Budget” not just “Call”
  • Include key details: what happened, outcomes, and next steps
  • Be consistent: train your team on when to use each type
