How to Delete #
- Go to PloverCRM > Contacts and select a contact
- In the Notes section, click Delete next to the note
- Confirm deletion

Permissions #
Deletion requires:
- CRM role with
deletepermission - Contact access based on ownership/scope
- Super Admin can always delete

Before You Delete #
Consider alternatives:
- Edit the note to correct errors
- Add a correction note instead
- Export data if you need a record
Common scenarios:
- Duplicate: Keep the complete version
- Wrong contact: Copy content, delete, add to correct contact
- Sensitive data: Delete immediately, create new note without sensitive info
Data Recovery #
Notes cannot be restored through the UI. Recovery options:
- Restore from database backup (may lose recent changes)
- Use backup plugin (UpdraftPlus, BackupBuddy)
- Contact hosting support
Prevention Tips #
- Read confirmation messages carefully
- Limit delete permissions to trusted users
- Maintain daily automated backups
