Best Practices #
When to edit:
- ✅ Correct typos or errors
- ✅ Add forgotten details
- ✅ Clarify information
- ✅ Update status or outcomes
When to add new note instead:
- Major changes that alter meaning
- Maintains clear chronological history
Be transparent: For significant changes, note what was updated: “Updated 2/3/26: Added meeting outcome”

Common Scenarios #
Typo: “Follw-up Call” → “Follow-up Call”
Adding details: “Meeting” → “Q1 Planning Meeting – Discussed team expansion, product launch, market expansion”
Correcting date: Update date field for timeline accuracy
Changing type: Note → Call (better categorization)
Troubleshooting #
Can’t edit: Check permissions and contact ownership.
Changes not saving: Ensure you clicked “Update Note” in modal, check browser console for errors.
Modal won’t open: Check for JavaScript errors, disable browser extensions, or clear cache.
